Site Security
Once They’re Inside, It’s Too Late
Physical security is just as important as cybersecurity. Both require access control, to prevent people from using from accessing areas or assets they shouldn’t. And both require surveillance, to watch for possible intrusions before they happen.
For many facilities, conventional CCTV systems are adequate. High-risk and high-value locations, however, require more sophisticated sensors and systems. As one example, a recent study found that at least $300 million of heavy construction equipment is stolen each year from work sites. This figure does not include costs resulting from break-in damage or stolen building materials and tools.
Own The Night
IEC’s enhanced, multispectral imaging detects intruders at a distance, before they have a chance to find blind spots or gaps in existing coverage. Our IntrudIR Alert software provides a Common Operating Picture across all connected sensors. For example, thermal and visual cameras can slew automatically to the location of a tripped vibration sensor, while simultaneously alerting security personnel. This operator-centered design philosophy minimizes user fatigue and the risk of missing a potential threat.
IEC systems can do more than surveil. Products like IEC’s Banshee are fully configurable with a range of visual and audible deterrents, effectively immobilizing intruders until security teams apprehend them.
Built To Last
A surveillance system is useful only when it’s working. IEC hardware and software literally have been tested in battle and in the harshest environments. Every component is designed and built to provide years of trouble-free service.
